May 6, 2007-The results of Phil's MRI were assuring, as he has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring tear. Initial reports said he had a Grade 2 tear. The Yankees will still be careful, and keep him out 4-6 weeks.


May 1, 2007-Phil Hughes suffered a hamstring injury in the 7th inning of today's game. Phil pitched 6 1/3 innings of no hit ball, and ended up getting the win. Initial reports say he will be out 4-6 weeks, but an MRI will confirm things later this week.

Apr 23, 2007-Today, the Yankees officially announced that Phil Hughes will start Thursday, April 26, against the Toronto Blue Jays. Phil got a call from Dave Eiland telling him to go to PNC Field for a throw session on the chance he could pitch thursday. It was confirmed when he arrived that he was to make his debut on Thursday.
